Movie Review “JANE EYRE”

Jane Eyre was written in 1847 and is considered one of the first romantic novels, containing both passion and mystery. The author of the book is charlotte bronte. The story of Jane Eyre takes place in 19th century England. It is pure classic novel. Charlotte Bronte’s impassioned novel is the love story of Jane Eyre (1847), a plain yet spirited governess, and her employer, the arrogant, brooding Mr. Rochester.
The novel develops through scenes taking place in four distinct settings: The Reed Manor during Jane’s childhood; The Lowood School in which Jane receives her education; Thornfield Manor, the home in which her first love grows; and Moor House in the town of Morton where she finds her paternal relatives.
Jane Eyre is the story of a young, orphaned girl who lives with her aunt and cousins, the Reeds, at Gateshead Hall. Like all 19th century orphans, her situation pretty much sucks. After this, nobody knows what to do with her, so they send her away to a religious boarding school for orphans – Lowood Institute. Her school were quite horrible as well but she manages to find a pious friend named Hellen and her teacher miss Temple. She becomes an excellent student, learning all the little bits and pieces of culture that made up a lady’s education in Victorian England: French, piano-playing, singing, and drawing.
She is growned up as brave intelligent governess and she fell in love with the master Mr Rochester. The true suspence comes when on her wedding day she gets to know that Mr Rochester is already married to Bertha Manson. Mr Rochester justifies himself but Jane ran away from thornfield as she now cannot marry Mr Rochester. It is against her principals. Mr Rochester and Jane had developed strong love for each other so when St john purposes jane she refuses.
Jane heard supernatural voices of Mr Rochester calling her. She went back to Thornfield finding bertha commit sucide by burning the whole place. Mr Rochester is sitting in garden. He lost his sight. They are back together . They are happily married and gradually gain his sight.
Jane’s personality contains many qualities that would be considered desirable in an woman; she’s frank, sincere, and lacks personal vanity. Jane reacts strongly when she is discredited due to her class /gender. What I like about Jane Eyre that it is a gothic novel. Gothic novels focus on the mysterious; take place in dark, sometimes exotic, settings (often houses that appear to be haunted); but still entail an element of romance. The double is a frequent feature of the Gothic novel, and in a sense Jane and the madwoman in Rochester’s attic are doubles — two wives, one of sound mind and the other insane. It is mystery novel.
On the other hand, What parents need to know parents need to know that Charlotte Bronte’s classic romantic novel does not contain “mature themes” in the modern, rated-“R” movie sense, but it does require a mature reader to comprehend the characters’ complex relationships and inner turmoil, and to take in the troubling events that occur: Children are abused and neglected; half of the students of Lowood School die of typhus, while the other half are malnourished and cold. Mental illness and adulterous affairs figure in the story as well.
Charlotte Bronte’s classic romantic novel is simply one of the greatest works of English fiction. Jane’s independence, fortitude, and intelligence render her one of literature’s strongest female characters, and the passionate love between Jane and Rochester is a romance for the ages. Bronte’s development of that relationship, set against the mysteries within Thornfield Hall, is peerless. Charlotte Bronte’s most beloved novel describes the passionate love between the courageous orphan Jane Eyre and the brilliant, brooding, and domineering Rochester. The loneliness and cruelty of Jane’s childhood strengthens her natural independence and spirit.
I like the book it was a classic novel but what I don’t like in the book in when jane suddenly hears supernatural voice of Mr Rochester. It was the only unrealistic part I found in the book and I think it was quite lame.

Eid_Praying

The purpose of this feature is to develop the thinking among the people regarding our art and culture. Pakistan basically is very rich and diverse in all fields of art and culture which contains visual arts, music, performing arts that include theater, drama and dance, puppet shows, films and spiritually events.

Pakistani culture and society have been influenced by most of the diverse ethnic groups that living in the country. Though Pakistan is a cradle of one of the most ancient civilizations of the world. It identity was most prominent due to Islamic culture which was introduced during the 8th century. This fact could not be denied that the personality of a person or a nation based on its culture which actually marks the people arts, literature and their love for natural beauty. These are the ingredients of culture that express every soul of the person in the society. Poetry is very significant factor or part of the Pakistani culture. The Qawali, is also a popular art in Pakistan, which has strong influence of Sufism.

Literature is also highly showing its evolvement in Pakistan where as dance and visual art is not that much developed in Pakistan. Pakistan also rich in craft tradition and Pakistani craftsmen are also known for their finest and better quality handicrafts that are even hold great imperative place on international level as well. The Sindh province is one of the richest provinces in producing silver and glass. Spots and games is also the prominent feature of our culture. “Creativity takes courage.” Henri Matisse

The art in Pakistan is also greatly influence by some of the ethnic groups. However, over the decades and along with various influences, one thing that still remains consistent in Pakistani art is that it’s vibrant colors. Bright is always being prominent and major attraction for the peoples. Now, ethnic art and crafts are gaining popularity on such a large scale that these symbols of trucks are now being used on objects and clothes of decoration.
Art basically provide way to experience one’s self in relation to universe. The experience may often come from music, poetry etc. As Albert Einstein says:
“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.”

It provides the means to express your imagination in non dramatic way that are not being expressed by the spoken or written languages. In many culture, art is used as in rituals, performances and dance as a symbol. People express their feeling through these. Art is also work as therapists.

Art, culture and Islam may seem to be contradictory terms. Islam has deeply impacted the Culture of all environments with which it came into contact. Islam has modified most artistic expression such as painting, sculpture or architecture. We forget that every aspect of a culture is interconnected. When we discourage such type of local cultural activities by saying that these are not the Islamic activities, then we are also fail to provide more acceptable alternatives, by default we must be ready to accept the onslaught Cultural Western traditions.

However, there are also a number of cultural activities that are only specified to a province, tribe or a country and they should be sustained. If any one of these traditions are backed and reinforced, then they can easily face western “Cultural Imperialism.” Pakistan is one of such countries that follow these Islamic rules and principles and live their life according to Islam.
